Hello everyone,
June Update
My health is improving, I am in therapy right now and that is helping tremendously. I still can't walk without crutches, but at least I am not in a wheelchair all the time. As you may have guessed from my schedule, I am able to sit down and play again. I have done some accoustic shows for a couple of hours and a one nighter with the full band.
I am staying positive and trying to make Lemonade from Lemons, so to speak. As my stamina improves I will schedule more shows. Please check our schedule and come out and see us.
Peace and Love, Carl
April Update
Great news, my doctors tell me that I am well enough to start playing again, if I do it sitting down and stay off my feet. I had a bone graft three weeks ago and it is healing well. Therapy is the next step and will start soon.
As you can see from the schedule, we played Saturday night at the Red Rooster. We would like to thank all the friends and family who came to support us, and those who could not, but were wishing us well. It felt great to be up on the stage again. I slept past noon the next day and am anxious to do it again.
We are now accepting bookings starting in May. The schedule already has a booking for the Fruitport Eagles in June and we expect to be playing at the Grand Haven Eagles as well.
Thanks again for your continued support and we hope to see you soon.
Peace,
Carl Webb and the band
Feburary Update:
I am healing, but more slowly than I had hoped and will not be able to schedule events for a couple more months, yet. I will keep everyone updated on my condition and when I can play again. I, and the band, look forward to seeing all our fans soon.
I am currently not accepting bookings at this time, but hope to be back on the stage in April of this year.
Original message:
In case you haven't noticed, all events schedule for 2009 were canceled after Halloween. We are sorry we did not inform you sooner, but those close to me know that, on Halloween night, I suffered a nasty fall while working on a home project. I will recover from this unfortunate accident, but it will take some time to do so.
My family and the band thank you for your loyalty, concern, and understanding during my recovery. Please be aware that I am not accepting many phone calls at this time. However, your e-mails would be very much appreciated and I will respond when I can.
As a result of the fall, I suffered injuries to my left ankle, chest, and left shoulder. I had surgery on my left ankle and am currently wearing a cast below the knee. My doctor and my body are telling me to take it easy and get plenty of rest. I will be using the website for post any changes in my condition and keep you informed.
We love to hear from you. Please e-mail us at Info@carlwebbband.com and we will contact you ASAP.
Hope to see you in concert.
Peace,
Carl Webb
